  • Signals from the brain cortex and limbic system that responds to sight, taste, and smell, as well as to emotions and pain of a human.
  • Signals from a part of the ear that responds to motion. Consequently, some people may face motion sickness from cancer treatment.
  • Signals or messages from the other parts and nerves that react to disease or irritation in these organs owing to disease or drugs given in cancer treatment. In chemotherapy, it has been noted that there are areas in the esophagus, stomach, and intestines that are triggered resulting in vomiting and nausea.
